Getting Ready For Graduation

The day is finally coming and it’s my time to shine and show off what I’ve achieved after 3 long years of pure hard work studying at university. I’m officially graduating in November with a degree in Marketing Management, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself.

I’m currently getting myself organised for my big day and there’s so much to think about! You’ve got to think a head with this, especially if you’ve studied out of your home town.  I’m originally from Hull, and I’ve studied in Chester. There is a 3-hour driving distance between both destinations, and due to this I’ve decided to book a hotel in Chester. I also had to consider the time of my graduation ceremony which is at 11:45am, and the check-in time of my hotel which is at 2:00pm. I’ve got to store my luggage and get myself ready on the morning of the ceremony. Due to this, I’ve decided to stay in Chester with my family for 2 nights instead of 1. The night before my ceremony and the night after, following from my ceremony. If you are in this situation with the times and you’re travelling a long distance, it’s highly recommended to book two nights to avoid a clash and complications.

This part excited me, it makes everything feel so real. I had to visit the website Ede & Ravenscroft Graduation Services to order my gown. It’s important to order the correct gown, because if you don’t, you will experience great difficulties to graduate. To avoid this, you must place in the correct institution that you’ve studied at, the date and time of the ceremony and the type of award.  You’ll then be wearing the correct gown that’s required to be worn at the ceremony. It’s highly recommended to double check the details that you give before going through to the transaction stage to avoid mistakes! There’s a cost to hire your gown, it cost me £45.00.

I’ve really stressed about this because I’m so picky with what I wear. I like certain dress styles, and not all those fit me perfectly. Also, I cannot wear heels, so I must find a dress which will gain everyone’s’ attention and avoid them looking at my footwear. I decided to browse through ASOS for my dress because they’ve got a wide range of different dress styles. Finding my dress wasn’t as hard as I thought. I instantly found an ideal dress, browsed through the description and played the demonstration of the model wearing it. Then I decided to purchase. Luckily for me, it was the last one in my size! I was hoping that it’ll fit me, and it does. It fits like a glove. Success! Now, I’ve got to think about shoes, which I’ve not yet found. But I don’t really care, the dress is more important. It’s recommended to start looking for your dress and shoes a little early because the beautiful dress and shoes you’ll see on the feed will sell out, fast. So, get your claws on it. You can also look at others in between the time if you have 28 days to return the goods. Therefore, if you do see something better and change your mind, you can return what you already bought and get a full refund.

I hope you found this helpful!

NUXE Hulie Prodigieuse Oil: What A Fabulous Product For Skin Care (Review)

FINALLY I’ve found an oil that doesn’t cause a break-out, after I have applied it on my skin numerous times. I have oily and acne prone skin, and adding extra oil on top of my natural oils doesn’t do my skin any favors. In fact, it causes a break-out on my skin. I gain so many blackheads and blemishes, it’s awful. It causes my self-esteem to become low, and I get anxiety when I leave the house. I feel like I am being judged due to my poor skin conditions. Sometimes, I’m left with scaring, which does eventually fade, but still!

Anyway, this oil works miracles on my skin during my routine. It makes my skin feel so soft, and silky.  It doesn’t make my skin feel rough unlike some skincare products do! It also balances out my skin tone as it reduces the redness on my skin. I often get a lot of redness on my skin, which makes it look as if I have been running and I haven’t! And finally, when I DO get the odd blemishes, it actually helps clear them up. Overall, the oil repairs my skin and keeps it well hydrated. It’s a winner!

I don’t apply the oil often, I only apply it occasionally. I apply it just before I go to bed because it soaks into my skin better during my sleep. Nonetheless, I ensure that my skin is fully clean before applying, and by doing this I use the Clean and Clear Exfoliating Daily Face Wash, and then the Nivea  Daily Essentials Daily Facial Wash. These two are my to-go facial washes, I have never used anything else.

The Nuxe Prodigieuse cost me £18 for a 50ml bottle from Space NK. You can also buy this from other brands such as; Just My Look, Cult Beauty, Nuxe UK, Feel Unique, and M&S. If you’re not keen on splurging that amount of money on a product because you fear that it will not work for yourself and it will be a waste of cash, then you can browse through eBay to see whether there is a sample bottle available. Therefore, it will be a lower risk of wasting cash. I had discovered this product from receiving a sample bottle in the post through being subscribed to Birch Box, and from then on I have loved it!

That’s it for now, I hope you found this useful!
